Recycle your old holiday lights

Most of us have a box or two of tangled up light strings that haven’t worked since 1992.

Thanks to a request by a fan of the Green Project (and some quick work by City staff in response), Sioux Falls area residents can now recycle those old, broken, tangled holiday lights, for free. If your old holiday lights are at the point of no longer being usable, bring them to the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility to recycle for free. The HHWF facility is located at 1015 E. Chambers St. in Sioux Falls. It’s half a mile north of Rice St., off Cliff Ave.

Hours of Operation are:

Tues-Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sat 8 a.m. to noon
