Kim Smith

Kim Smith, Public Relations Director for Millennium Recycling, is focused on community recycling education and outreach. She is available for recycling presentations, business and residential recycling questions and concerns, and will be leading the Millennium Recycling Ecomaniacs at local summer events. She also serves as Secretary of the US Green Building Council South Dakota Chapter, recently joined the City of Sioux Falls Core Sustainability Team, and is on the Sioux Falls Green Project Board of Directors. Kim has a diverse interest in sustainable living practices and looks forward to connecting with other local greenies!

Nathan Schock

Nathan Schock is the Director of Public Relations for POET, a fully integrated ethanol company that produces more than 1.7 billion gallons of ethanol per year from 27 plants in seven states. The company is also in a partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy and the State of Iowa to commercialize the production of cellulosic ethanol from corn cobs, leaves and husks.

Tim Olsen

Rev. Tim Olsen is employed by Sioux Falls Seminary as Director of Operations of the seminary’s Summit House in the Pettigrew Heights neighborhood of Sioux Falls, lead for the seminary’s faith based community development research experiments, SFS adjunct faculty, and Doctor of Ministry student. One of the Summit House core values is living out models of creation care. Models include urban agriculture, xeriscaping, rain barrels, composting, and the building of a straw bale house in collaboration with Architecture for Humanity. Recently, Tim facilitated a community partnership whose work included the sponsorship of an affordable housing design competition. The entries in the competition needed to be eligible for LEED platinum certification.

Tim is a Southwest Minnesota farm boy who worked for twelve years as a County Extension Agent in Minnesota and Northern New York. Following a seminary education Tim served churches in Iowa and Minnesota. He is a long time practitioner of creation care, gardening and landscaping sustainably in three states. There is a worm bin in his basement, compost cooking in his backyard, and he is learning the science and art of beekeeping. Tim is active with the Evangelical Environmental Network. One year ago he joined the EEN is Washington DC to lobby Congress in moving forward climate change legislation. Tim and his wife Marty have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Steven Schwartz

Steve Schwartz is the Chief Operating Officer of the Canfield Companies located in Sioux Falls SD. He is a marketing and strategy development executive with expertise in the commercial real estate construction, contracting, and emergency preparedness field.

He speaks extensively on topics such as sustainability, modular construction methods, and underfloor air distribution. He is a BIFMA and Haworth CEU Faculty member. Steve has been a speaker at conferences and industry events run by IFMA, BOMA, AIA, ASIS, FSDNY, and the NYIGF. Steve was a main presenter at the FMA Congress “Sustainable Development, Green Retrofit and Construction” conference.

In addition to speaking, Steve has authored white papers and learning programs on these topics for use as knowledge marketing and professional continuing education courses.

Steve received a BA in Economics from Drew University and an MBA in Finance from Iona College, Hagan School of Business. He previously served on advisory boards and committees of the NYC Building Department and the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

Natalie Eisenberg

Natalie Eisenberg has been involved with the Green Project since its inception and has lead the effort of bringing together multiple people and organizations to support the non-profit’s mission. Natalie is an Account Supervisor for Lawrence & Schiller Marketing & Advertising in Sioux Falls. She has degrees in Mass Communication and Spanish, and a Masters degree in Contemporary Media & Journalism from the University of South Dakota. Natalie serves on the Board of Directors for the Sioux Falls Green Project and is also active in the Sioux Falls Young Professionals Network and fundraising for the Sioux Empire United Way.

Lenae Liddiard, NCIDQ

Lenae Liddiard, NCIDQ is the president of Canfield Business Interiors.  Ms. Liddiard has a wide-range of experience in facility planning and commercial interior design.  In her over 20 years with CBI, she has had the opportunity to work for many different business and professional clients, beginning with the conception of a new building through to move in.  Lenae has many loyal clients because of her passion for good design and desire for customer satisfaction. Ms. Liddiard is a leading authority on the creation and execution of projects using Integrated Team approaches to ensure that the architecture, interior design, and furnishings are cohesive to your vision.
